Black Sustainable Living & Low-Waste Influencers

Climate change and sustainability are hot topics in the world and in the design industry. However, not as spoken about is the direct correlation between racial inequality and climate issues. Environmental racism is real and it predominantly affects low income communities of color. We can’t continue conversations about sustainability, low-waste and climate change without addressing race. The topics are not separated. Black voices are not heard enough in conversations around environmentalism and they need to be. Today we compiled a list of just a few of our favorite Black sustainability and low-waste influencers. Listen to them, learn from them and amplify them. 🌍
