AAPI Fundraiser with Tracy + Bess

Our client, Tracy Simmons, along with the very talented photographer, Bess Friday, have kicked off a fundraiser supporting Asian Americans Advancing Justice. Please see below for more details from Tracy’s website:

We stand with the AAPI community. Tracy Simmons, owner of The House, and photographer, Bess Friday, have made three images from her personal Shanghai series available in a small effort to help heal the pain in the Asian American community. You can now purchase via the button below or at The House in Presidio Heights. All proceeds will benefit Asian Americans Advancing Justice.

Bess’ time spent in Shanghai is what gave birth to the personal series, #100dayproject. For 100 days, Bess photographed in her neighborhood the Former French Concession as her way of immersing herself, a foreigner, in her new home. The transformation from outsider to community member happened via this habitual photographing of her neighbors & neighborhood. It further referenced the notion that to understand each other, we must first simply connect with each other.
