Spring Newsletter 2022

Spring has officially sprung and we're feeling all the feels.

Fresh off Spring Break, we're finding ourselves drawn to new beginnings that often seem to pop up with a new season. The pretty cherry blossoms, longer days, more sunshine, unpredictable SF weather. With more in-person events, both those we plan and those we get invited to, it seems like many around us are also ready to embrace the new season.

A spring refresh, whether that's cleaning out the hall closet, or switching your throw pillows for something lighter like linen.

We'd love to know, what do you love the most about Spring?

Read: The Idea Of You. Such a fun, frolicking, jet-set, glamorous read. The ultimate in escapism.

Ate/Cooked: Stress-cooked Nigerian food last week. Jollof rice is a labor of love.

Played: Scrabble! I loved Scrabble as a kid and now I love playing as a family.

Bought: Has my family turned me into a gear head? Maybe. I bought some Oakley goggles, on the recommendation of my 8 year old son, and he was right, they’re amazing!

Courtney…

Read: Wreckage of My Presence by Casey Wilson. It's heartbreaking, smart and so funny.

Ate/Cooked: I definitely need a food refresh as I have been doing lunches on the fly. We are starting a CSA box subscription so that we can get fun produce for dinner that can carry into next-day leftovers - my favorite.

Played: T-ball. Ok, so I am not playing t-ball but my son is. And apparently he might be a switch hitter!

Bought: A LOT. We just finished our kitchen and detached office so now it's time to decorate. I’ve been eyeing this for the open shelf in the kitchen and this, this, and this for the office.

Lianna…

Read: Fierce Feminine Rising by Anaiya Sophia - all about healing, recentering your personal power, and how to tap into the collective universal uprising of the divine urge to seek justice. It’s… incredible.

Ate/Cooked: Super yummy flank steak with pomme frites dinner with my best friend. We paired it with a delicious pear salad.

Played: Wordle. Every day. My friends and I share our scores daily and the other day my friend got the word on the first try!

Bought: Tickets to see the Selena movie (yup, the one from 1997) in theaters with my friend for a sing-along, interactive show. If you know me, you know Selena is my queen.
